―JAPAN REBIRTH PROJECTー

KYOSHIKKI that is called JAPAN is one of the traditional crafts representing Japan.

　At present, many traditional crafts have high technical skills

that have been nurtured with a long history, however also face tons of issues

such as sluggish demand due to changes in lifestyles.

KYOSHIKKI has the most overwhelming appearance

and technical skills of craftsmen. However, KYOSHIKKI also has similar issues.

　From our encounters with many people involved in KYOSHIKKI,

we have witnessed not only the beauty and high technical capabilities of KYOSHIKKI,

but also their passion and commitment for KYOSHIKKI.

"We want more people to know such wonderful KYOSHIKKI."

From such feelings, JAPAN REBIRTH PROJECT has started.

"KYOSHIKKI has a good point that you can't tell it just by looking at it.

We want to convey this goodness of KYOSHIKKI to everyone.

From these thoughts, the KYOSHIKKI Cafe was held from December 18th to 22th, 2019.

We provided famous Kyoto sweets ,tea and KYOSHIKKI experience. Please check this website for details.

To convey the goodness of KYOSHIKKI, we devise the layout of the KYOSHIKKI exhibition held in March every year.

Specifically, we create comment sheets that describe the craftsmen's feelings and commitment to the work.

The Asagi Project is a project aimed at rebuilding the Asagi Bowls that were actually used during the Edo period.

In February 2019, an exhibition of Asagi Bowl was held at Terminal Kyoto.

We conduct our own questionnaire surveys and interviews with companies.

And write papers in order to approach the promotion of KYOSHIKKI from an academic perspective.
We also participate in thesis conference.
